My account was muted or banned, what do I do?

First, check what kind of restriction it is: mutes are temporary (up to 24 hours) and expire on their own, temporary bans have an end date, and permanent bans do not. If you believe the decision was wrong, submit an appeal explaining what happened: a different reviewer will look at it fresh. Do not create a new account, ban evasion turns a recoverable situation into a permanent one.

Understand the restriction

  • Mute: you can browse and watch but not post or chat for a set time, at most 24 hours for a standard moderator mute. It lifts automatically.
  • Temporary ban: you are locked out until the stated date, then access returns on its own.
  • Permanent ban: the account is closed. Appeal is the only route back.

What to do

  1. Read the reason given: enforcement always references what rule was involved.
  2. If it is a short mute and fair enough, honestly, just let it expire.
  3. If you believe it is wrong, submit an appeal from the app. Write what actually happened in your own words (at least a couple of sentences, the form requires real substance). A reviewer other than the person who sanctioned you looks at it.
  4. If you cannot reach the appeal form because of the ban itself, email support@vergr.app from the address on your account.

What NOT to do

  • Do not make a second account to get around it. Ban evasion is itself a bannable offence and destroys the credibility of your appeal.
  • Do not spam appeals: one pending appeal per decision is the limit, duplicates are rejected automatically.
