What happens if I do not show up for my match?

You forfeit: no-shows are detected automatically after the match's start window passes, your opponent advances, and in a paid event your entry does not come back. Repeated no-shows hurt your standing. If life happens, use the reschedule option BEFORE the match time, that is exactly what it is for.

The mechanics

• Matches have a start window. Miss it entirely and the no-show detection forfeits you automatically, no human needed.
• Your opponent advances as the winner of the match.
• Tournaments can require check-in before start: skipping check-in can drop you from the bracket before round one even begins.
• If BOTH players no-show, neither gets a free win: the match is resolved by the tournament's rules for double forfeits.

Avoiding an accidental forfeit

1. Check the schedule when you register, tournament times are shown in your local time.
2. Check in when the event asks you to.
3. Turn on match notifications so the starting-soon push reaches you.
4. Running late or double-booked? Propose a reschedule to your opponent before the match time, an agreed reschedule moves the deadline officially.

The no-show rule is what protects YOU from opponents who vanish: you never lose a bracket spot to someone who simply did not turn up.
