How do I reschedule a match?
From the match screen, propose a new time to your opponent. They get a notification and accept or decline; if they accept, the match officially moves and the no-show clock moves with it. There is also a direct line: the match can open a scheduling chat between you two to negotiate a time that works.
Proposing a reschedule
- Open your match in the tournament.
- Choose the reschedule option and pick your proposed new time.
- Your opponent is notified and responds: accept moves the match officially, decline leaves the original time standing.
- Need to talk it out first? Use the match's scheduling chat: it opens a direct conversation between you and your opponent just for this.
The rules of rescheduling
- It is mutual: neither player can move a match alone. No agreement, no move.
- Do it before the match time: a reschedule proposed after you failed to appear does not undo a forfeit.
- The tournament's overall schedule still rules: matches must fit inside the event, you cannot reschedule the final into next month.
- Followers of the match are notified of the change, so spectators do not show up to an empty arena.
If your opponent will not respond to a reasonable proposal and then no-shows, the forfeit logic works in your favour, you advance.
