What documents do I need for verification?
One government-issued photo ID: a passport, driver license, or national ID card. Passports only need the photo page; licenses and ID cards need front and back. You will also take a short selfie so the system can match your face to the ID.
Accepted documents
- Passport: just the photo page.
- Driver license: front and back.
- National ID card: front and back.
The document must be a real, physical, government-issued ID. Photos of photocopies, screenshots, student cards, or bank cards are not accepted.
The selfie
After the document photos you take a short selfie. This is a liveness check: it confirms a real person is holding the ID, and that the face matches the ID photo. Face the camera in decent light, without a hat or sunglasses.
Make sure your ID is
- Current, not expired.
- Undamaged and fully readable.
- Yours: the name and date of birth are checked, and you must be 18 or older.
