How do I complete identity verification?
Open the wallet (or any money feature) and tap Verify. A secure verification page opens in a new tab where you photograph your ID and take a quick selfie. The result comes back to your VERGR account automatically, usually within minutes, and you only ever do this once.
Identity verification unlocks everything that involves real money: the wallet, tournaments, and payouts. It is a one-time check handled by a specialist identity partner over a secure connection.
Step by step
- Open a money feature, for example the wallet or a withdrawal. If you are not verified yet, you will see a Verify identity button instead of the feature.
- Tap Verify. A secure verification page opens in a new tab, your VERGR session stays open behind it.
- Follow the prompts: photograph the front (and back, if asked) of your government ID, then take a short selfie so the system can confirm the ID is really yours.
- Close the tab when it says you are done. You do not need to refresh anything: the moment the check is approved, your VERGR account updates by itself and shows a confirmation.
Tips for passing first time
- Use good lighting and lay the ID flat, all four corners visible, no glare.
- Use a current, undamaged ID. Expired or cracked documents are the most common decline reason.
- Take the selfie with your face clearly visible: no hat, sunglasses, or heavy backlight.
- You must be 18 or older, the date of birth on your ID is checked.
If the result comes back declined, you can try again. See the rejection article below for what each reason means.
