What are squad roles and permissions?

Five roles: President (one per squad, sets direction, accepts members, manages the treasury), Vice President (approves join requests, posts announcements), Treasury (manages the squad's coin pool: tournament entries, member rewards, payouts), Security (moderation tools: mutes, kick votes, conflict resolution), and Member. Roles are assigned on the squad's Roles screen.

The roles

  • President: the leader, one per squad. Sets squad direction, accepts members, manages the treasury, and is the only role that can delete the squad.
  • Vice President: the deputy. Approves join requests and posts announcements, keeps the squad running day to day.
  • Treasury: the banker. Manages the squad's shared coin pool: funding tournament entries, member rewards, and payouts.
  • Security: the moderator. Mutes, kick votes, and conflict resolution when members clash.
  • Member: everyone else, full participation in chat, events, and squad life.

Why roles matter more here than in a normal chat group

Squads hold real money: the treasury collects member contributions and receives entire tournament prizes when the squad wins. Roles are what make that safe: the people who can move money and accept members are explicit, visible on the Roles screen, and chosen deliberately.

Assigning roles

The squad's Roles screen shows every role, who holds it, and what it does. Leadership assigns roles from there. Pick your Treasury holder the way you would pick someone to hold the group holiday fund, because that is literally the job.
