How does VERGR handle reports?
With layers, not a single overworked inbox. Automated screening checks public content the moment it is posted, the Vanguard (VERGR's paid, ranked moderation team) reviews the report queue, hard cases escalate up a real chain of command, and every decision can be appealed. Private DMs stay private and are not scanned.
The layers
- Instant screening: public posts, images, and videos are checked automatically at the moment of upload. The worst material never reaches the feed at all, and borderline content is flagged for human eyes.
- The Vanguard queue: user reports are reviewed by the Vanguard, a ranked team of paid human moderators, who uphold or reject each one.
- Escalation: contested or serious cases climb the ladder, from moderator to Senior to Commander to Overseer, with the founder as the final layer of oversight.
- Appeals: if action was taken against you and you believe it was wrong, you can appeal and a different reviewer looks again.
What is deliberately NOT moderated
Direct messages and private group chats are not scanned or moderated: private conversations stay private. Moderation covers public surfaces, where content can reach people who never asked to see it.
Why moderators are paid
Vanguard moderators earn a real share of platform revenue for their work and put their earned reputation behind decisions. Accountability is the point: moderation by invested, ranked, accountable people rather than anonymous volunteers.
