Why do I have to be 18+?
Because VERGR involves real money: cash-prize tournaments, a purchasable coin economy, and withdrawals. Nearly every country sets 18 as the legal age for real-money competition and payouts, and VERGR enforces it with a date-of-birth check at identity verification. It is a hard rule with no exceptions.
Plenty of platforms let younger teens in because nothing of value changes hands. On VERGR, money is real: you can buy Coins, win cash-equivalent prizes, and withdraw earnings. That puts it under adult rules everywhere it operates.
Where the rule is enforced
- At sign-up you confirm your date of birth.
- Before any money feature unlocks (wallet, tournaments, payouts), identity verification checks the date of birth on your government ID. An ID showing under 18 is declined automatically, and that decision cannot be appealed or retried.
- The age requirement applies to everyone, in every country VERGR operates in.
Why not just gate the money features?
The money runs through the whole platform: tips in streams, prize tournaments, paid memberships, the creator economy. Splitting VERGR into an under-18 half and an adult half would either cripple the experience or leak real-money exposure to minors. Eighteen and over, platform-wide, is the honest version.
