What is the Vanguard?
The Vanguard is VERGR's moderator program, a trusted group that keeps competition fair and the community healthy. Moderators review reports, confirm tournament results, and settle disputes. Their real identity is hidden behind a Vanguard rank, and they are paid for their work. It is invite-only.
The Vanguard is the team that keeps VERGR fair. When real money is on the line in tournaments and creators rely on a clean platform, you need real people backing up the automated systems, and that is what the Vanguard is.
What Vanguard moderators do
- Review reports of rule-breaking and act on them.
- Confirm tournament match results and settle disputes between players.
- Watch for cheating and help keep high-stakes competition honest.
- Help keep chat and the wider community within the Code of Conduct.
Anonymous and ranked
Moderators do not act under their real identity. To everyone else they appear as the Vanguard with a rank badge, so they can do the job fairly without becoming a target. Other moderators and the founder can see who they are, but general users cannot.
They get paid
Moderating is real work, so the Vanguard is rewarded, not volunteer-only. A share of tournament moderation fees flows to the Vanguard, split by rank and activity, and active moderators get perks like a waived conversion fee.
The Vanguard is invite-only and email-bound. It is built for trusted, experienced players, not something you can simply switch on.
