What is the difference between a Clip and a Short?

A Clip is a regular video post that lives in the feed and on your profile, usually landscape. A Short is a vertical, full-screen video for the swipe-style Shorts feed. Same idea, different home: Clip for the timeline, Short for the FYP-style scroll.

Clips

• Appear in the home feed and on your profile like any post.
• Work well in landscape (16:9) — gameplay, highlights, longer moments.
• Can be made by clipping a live stream or uploading a video.

Shorts

• Live in the dedicated Shorts feed, full-screen, one at a time.
• Best shot in portrait (9:16).
• Scrolled fast — hook viewers in the first second.

Both are video posts. Choose Clip when you want it in the timeline, Short when you want it in the vertical swipe feed. Length and file size scale with your plan either way.
