How does VERGR keep tournaments fair?

By removing trust from the equation. Supported games report results straight from the game itself, other games get a human referee before any prize moves, automated screening watches for cheating, and match-fixing or collusion voids results and forfeits winnings. Disputes pause payouts until resolved.

Results nobody can fake

For CS2, Dota 2, Overwatch 2, and Apex Legends, the winner is detected from the game's own data feed, not from what players claim. For every other game, a referee from the Vanguard moderation team confirms the result with evidence before the prize is released. Either way, "just say you won" is not a thing on paid tournaments.

Anti-cheat and anti-collusion

  • Automated screening reviews match footage and flags suspicious play for human review.
  • Cheating (unauthorised software, scripts, exploits) voids results, forfeits winnings, and bans the account.
  • Collusion is treated the same as cheating: deliberate losses, pre-agreed prize splits, and coordinated outcomes are all match-fixing.
  • Multi-accounting to stack a bracket is an economy offence with the same consequences.

When something goes wrong anyway

Any participant can open a dispute on a match. Disputes freeze the payout while a moderator reviews the evidence, and contested calls escalate up the moderation chain. Prizes only ever move on confirmed results.

Fairness cuts in your favour too: no-shows forfeit, so you cannot be cheated out of a match by an opponent who simply never turns up.
