How do squad join requests work?
When a squad is not open-join, asking to join sends a request to its leadership. The President or Vice President reviews requests on the squad's join requests screen and approves or declines; you are notified of the outcome, and approval makes you a member immediately.
As the person asking
- Open the squad's page and request to join.
- Your request goes to the squad's leadership queue: nothing more to do.
- You are notified when it is approved (welcome, you are in) or declined.
- Not heard back in ages? Leadership might just be inactive: consider whether that answers your question about the squad anyway.
As the squad reviewing
- Requests appear in the squad's join requests screen.
- Approving is a leadership permission: the President and Vice President handle it.
- Look at the requester's profile before deciding: their activity, tournament record, and conduct are all visible.
- Approve and they become a member instantly; decline and the request closes with a notification to them.
Squads also run APPLICATIONS for specific things (like competing on the squad's behalf), and personal invitations skip the queue entirely: requests are just the front door.
