How do squad announcements work?

Announcements are the squad's official noticeboard, separate from the chat so important things do not scroll away. Leadership (President and Vice President) posts them; every member sees them on the squad's Announcements screen and surfaced on the squad page. Use them for the things nobody should miss: tournament signups, event times, rule changes.

How they work

  • Posting is a leadership permission: the President and Vice President can publish announcements.
  • They live on the squad's Announcements screen, and recent ones surface on the squad's main page where every member (and visitor) sees them.
  • Unlike chat messages, they do not drown: the noticeboard keeps them until replaced.

What belongs in an announcement

  • Tournament plans: we are entering X, signups close Friday, champions vote Thursday.
  • Events: game night Saturday 8pm, RSVP on the events screen.
  • Decisions: treasury spends, role changes, rule updates.
  • Wins: celebrate loudly. A trophy announcement is recruitment material.
