How do I set a tip goal for my stream?

On the Go Live screen, open the Tips & Goal section, switch the goal on, and set the Coin target plus what it is for ("New mic", "100 sub celebration"). Viewers then see a progress bar on your stream that fills as tips come in, and giving people a bar to fill genuinely increases tipping.

Setting it up

  1. On the Go Live screen, open Tips & Goal.
  2. Turn the tip goal on.
  3. Set the target amount in Coins.
  4. Write the reason: this is the line viewers see, so make it concrete. "Saving for a better camera" outperforms "tip goal".
  5. Go live. The goal appears on your stream with a live progress bar.

Why goals work

  • Progress bars are irresistible: people tip to move the bar, and the viewer who pushes it over the line gets a moment of glory.
  • A reason turns a tip from charity into participation: viewers are buying the mic with you.
  • Your goal settings are remembered with your stream defaults, so a running goal can span multiple streams of a series.

Keep goals honest and reachable. A believable target that completes on stream (celebrate it!) builds the habit; a fantasy number that never moves teaches viewers to ignore the bar. Tips carry the standard flat 10% fee, you keep 90%.
