How do I add a cover image to my stream?
On the Go Live screen, tap the cover area and pick an image from your device. It becomes the thumbnail your stream wears in discovery, and while your stream is loading for viewers. Covers you have used before appear as quick "use again" choices, so a consistent look takes one tap.
Adding one
- On the Go Live screen, find the cover section and tap to pick an image.
- Choose a picture from your device: it uploads and you will see "Cover added".
- Previously used covers show as quick chips, tap one to reuse it instead of uploading fresh.
- Go live. The cover rides with the stream everywhere it is shown.
Why it is worth the ten seconds
- Discovery is a wall of cards: a designed cover reads as "real streamer", a raw camera frame reads as noise.
- Viewers joining early see your cover (blurred, with a going-live treatment) while the video starts, instead of a black screen.
- Reusing one recognisable cover builds a brand: people learn to spot your streams at a glance.
Keep the important part of the image in the middle: covers get cropped differently on different screens, and edges are the first thing to go.
