What are the requirements to become a moderator?

Vanguard membership is invite-only. There is no application form: invitations go to members with a solid history on the platform, and every new member starts at the Recruit rank, shadowing experienced moderators before getting live powers. The best way in is to be a consistently fair, active member.

How people get in

Invitations are sent personally, tied to your account, and start you as a Recruit unless decided otherwise. You are free to accept or decline. Accepting does not change your normal account: your public identity stays separate and masked.

What gets someone noticed

  • A clean record: no bans, mutes, or a history of rejected reports against you.
  • Real activity: playing tournaments, streaming, being present in the community long enough to be known.
  • Good judgement in public: fair reports, sensible dispute behaviour, no drama-farming.
  • Reliability: moderation is paid work with real consequences, so consistency matters more than volume.

What happens after you accept

You start as a Recruit: you shadow the moderation queue and tournament rooms, learn how decisions are made, and take no live actions yet. Promotion to full Vanguard comes through demonstrated work, and from there the rank ladder is driven by the VP you earn moderating.
