How do I tip a creator?

You can tip with Coins from a stream, a post, a profile, or a creator's Vergr.me page. A tip costs the Coins you send, and Vergr pays the creator a share of that revenue. You need Coins in your wallet first, which you can buy or earn.

Tipping is the most direct way to support someone on VERGR, and it is built to be fair to the creator. You send Coins, the platform takes a small flat cut, and the creator keeps the rest. No sliding scale, no mystery deductions. Here is how to do it and exactly what the creator receives.

Where you can tip

You can tip in all the places it makes sense to. During a live stream there is a tip button right there, and big tips can pop up on screen so the creator sees your support in the moment. You can tip on a post or a clip you enjoyed, from someone's profile, and from a creator's Vergr.me page if they have a tip jar set up. Wherever you are, the flow is the same: pick an amount, confirm, done.

What the creator actually gets

When you tip, nothing is taken at send time. The whole tip is revenue VERGR earns, and VERGR pays the creator a share of it: 50% to start, rising to 80% as their lifetime earnings grow. The rate is the same whether the creator is on the free plan or on Pro. VERGR does not charge creators more for being successful, and it does not quietly widen the cut as they grow. Coins cannot be withdrawn, converted or transferred, so what the creator receives is revenue share that Vergr pays them on a schedule.

Tip goals

A lot of streamers set a tip goal for a session, like saving toward new gear or a charity run. When a goal is active, your tip pushes the bar forward and the whole chat can see the progress, which makes supporting feel like a shared thing rather than a quiet transaction. If you want your tip to count toward the goal, tip while the stream is live.
