How do I join a tournament?
Find an event in the Tournaments section, check the game and rules, then register — competing is free, no entry fee. Check in before your match, use the lobby code in-game, play, and report your result. Win and the prize purse is paid to your wallet in Coins.
Joining a tournament on VERGR is straightforward once you know the rhythm: register, check in, play, report. The system handles the bracket and the prize, you just need to show up and win your matches. Here is the full path from browsing to getting paid.
Find one that fits
Open the Tournaments section and browse what is open. You can filter by game, by how many players, and by when it starts. Before you commit, check two things: the game (and that you actually own and can run it) and the schedule, because you need to be around when your matches are due. Competing is free, so there's no entry cost to weigh up.
Register (free)
- Open the event and read the format and rules.
- Hit Compete (free) to register — there's no entry fee.
- For high-value competitions, complete identity verification and any webcam/anti-cheat check if prompted.
- You are in. Watch for the start time and any check-in window.
Check in and play your match
Before a match you usually need to check in, which confirms you are present and ready. When the match starts you get a unique lobby code to use in-game so the system and moderators can confirm you are playing the right match against the right opponent. Play it out. If your tournament is a best-of series, you play until one side reaches the needed wins.
Report your result
After the match you report the outcome. If both players agree, it is confirmed and the bracket advances. For many games the result can also be picked up automatically, and a moderator can confirm it. If you and your opponent disagree, the match goes to a dispute and a moderator settles it using whatever evidence is available, so an honest result always wins out.
Winning and getting paid
Win the whole thing and the prize is paid straight to your wallet in Coins, winner takes all. You also pick up Tournament Points for competing, win or lose, which climb your global ranking. From there you can keep your Coins in play or convert them to Gems and cash out.
Not sure a host is legit? Every tournament shows the host's track record so you can see how many events they have run and completed before you put an entry in.
Can I leave after I register?
Yes — competing is free, so you can leave any time before the event starts at no cost. Once it has started, leaving counts as a forfeit.
What if I do not own the game?
You need to own and be able to run the game to compete. Joining a tournament for a game you cannot launch means you will forfeit at the lobby, so check first.
Can my squad enter together?
Yes. Squad tournaments let your team enter as a unit, and a squad win pays into the squad treasury to be shared.
