How do I edit a post?

You can edit the text of a post after publishing it. Open the post's three-dot menu, choose Edit post, fix the caption, and Save. Edited posts show an "edited" marker so the feed stays honest.

Made a typo or want to reword a caption? You can edit the text of your own post at any time. The post keeps its likes, comments, and shares.

How to edit a post

1. Open the post and tap the three-dot menu (only shown on your own posts).
2. Choose Edit post.
3. Change the text, then tap Save.

What you can and can't change

• You can edit the caption text (and its hashtags, which update from the new text).
• Photos, videos, polls, and the post type stay the same. To change media, delete the post and create a new one.
• Edited posts display a small "edited" label next to the timestamp.
