How do I add VERGR to my iPhone home screen?

Open vergr.app in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with the arrow), scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. VERGR now opens full-screen from its own icon, with push notifications, just like an installed app.

Step by step

  1. Open vergr.app in Safari. It has to be Safari: if you are in Chrome on iPhone, switch first, because Apple only allows this from Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, the square with the arrow pointing up.
  3. Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top right corner.

That is it. The VERGR icon appears on your home screen, and opening it launches VERGR full-screen, without Safari's address bar, with push notifications and the full-screen stream viewer.

Why the manual steps?

Apple does not let websites add themselves to your home screen or trigger the prompt automatically, the Share menu is the only way. It takes ten seconds and you only do it once.

Once added, you never update it manually: every time you open it, you are on the latest version automatically.
