Guilty Gear Strive Version 2.0 Update Excludes Nintendo Switch

Arc System Works is preparing a substantial 2.0 update for Guilty Gear -Strive-, a milestone release designed to introduce Season Pass 5 content alongside comprehensive revisions to core mechanics, user interface elements, and character introduction sequences. This upcoming patch represents a major shift for the title, aiming to refine the overall player experience through these technical and aesthetic overhauls.

Despite the scale of these improvements, it appears that the Nintendo Switch version will not receive the 2.0 update. This outcome aligns with previous communications from the developer released at the conclusion of 2025. At that time, Arc System Works noted that maintaining the game on Nintendo’s hardware necessitated significant resource allocation and creative problem-solving to navigate existing performance limitations. Consequently, the portable console will remain excluded from this latest phase of development as the studio focuses its efforts on other platforms.
